Excessing Viewing: compulsive viewers who use TV as a distraction.
these people use TV as an escape from unhappy lives or unhappy parts of otherwise tolerable lives. They watch TV to make themselves better when sad, upset or worried.

wow. didn't really see watching TV from this point of view.
This makes me think why i am so in love with watching tv. Especially my channel 8 shows.
but nahhh.. I don't think i watch tv because of the above reasons.
but I agree it helps you take stuff off your mind.
